In finishing up my day today, I ran across a guy downtown near our arts district. He was kneeling down and doing something to the sidewalk. Upon closer inspection, I saw that he was actually doing street art. Stenciling to be more specific. Often times in exploring the city, I run into serendipitous situations. This is one of those times. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Im working on getting his art into a gallery and off of the sidewalk. I will keep you posted on when he starts to show.

Happy Friday to everyone out there in the blogosphere, and no I am not referencing the people in Rod Blogojevich's network. Today I would like to unveil my new QR Code. For those of you who are not familiar with QR codes, the are similar to bar codes. They are a specific matrix code for bar code readers and smart phones. If you take a picture of the code with you smart phone or scan with a code reader, it will give you all the information that is associated with that QR code. QR is the abbreviation for quick response. Below is a QR code I had google generate for my business. If you use your bar code scanner to take a picture of this you will have all of the information for Pandemic Brand. We at Pandemic Brand know the benefits of new technologies like this one. If you want to quickly transfer your info to someone all you need to do is to bring up the QR code onto your phones screen and have it scanned. The information is quickly transferred into the phones contact list. If you are interested in having this technology work for you and would like some consultation, please feel free to give us a call. To see how this tech works, just scan the code below.

In creating an identity for Advantage Services, we wanted to give a feeling of an old fashioned service company with old fashioned values. Bright colors and clean simple layouts make this easy to read as well as attractive to look at. Although it the logo itself does not say that it is an electrical service and repair company, the little guy is running with a lightning bolt and the slogan hints at the electrical industry. We also thought it appropriate to incorporate "Electrical Service and Repair" on the van layout. With the whimsical 1950's style of design, the friendly looking brand puts customers at ease. This is necessary with a service company that often times is going into the home of the customer. The little guy will be something that we continue to develop over time, using him in ads, email blasts and other print materials.
